Description
Viking Alsvin, constructed in 2014, has a length of 135 meters and accommodates 190 passengers in its 95 spacious cabins. The ship extends over 4 decks, including a sun deck offering fantastic landscapes and a shaded seating area for relaxation. Other decks house a library, a restaurant, a gift shop, a bar/lounge, and the Aquavit Terrace for outdoor dining.
The name derives from Norse legend. Alsvin is one of the two horses that pull the sun across the sky on a chariot driven by Sol. The name "Alsvin" means "very fast," while the other horse is called Arvakr, which means "early awake."
