The new, state-of-the-art Viking Mississippi draws inspiration from the award-winning Viking Longships and ocean-going ships, featuring clean Scandinavian design and reimagined public spaces for Mississippi River voyages. Purpose-built for the Mississippi, the ship's cutting-edge design, large windows, and amenities make it the region's first truly modern cruise ship.
With a length of approximately 137 meters, it boasts 5 decks housing the restaurant, the Explorers' Lounge and Bar with a two-story panoramic view of the Mississippi, The Bow, a tranquil lounge at the ship's front, the library, a bar, a self-service laundry, a Solarium Terrace with an infinity pool, the Aquavit Terrace, a revolutionary indoor/outdoor panoramic area for outdoor dining or American barbecue experiences, River Café, a new dining venue offering classic American and Norwegian Mamsen's specialties, and a 360-degree panoramic walkway for admiring scenic landscapes and regional wildlife.
