A Dream at Sea

Boarding the Sea Cloud II in Philipsburg, St. Maarten felt like stepping into another world. It’s not your typical cruise: the sound of the wind in the sails, the polished wooden decks, and the gentle sway of the ship make you truly feel part of the sea. From the very start, watching the turquoise waters of the harbor and the colorful Caribbean houses, I felt my heart lighten and the stress of everyday life melt away. Every day of the journey was a new discovery. Sailing between the small islands of the Antilles or exploring hidden beaches was simply magical. Onboard, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The crew made you feel special, attentive to every detail without being intrusive, and the meals were delicious, served with care and simplicity. But what I will always carry with me is the sunset on the deck, the wind in my hair, and the feeling of complete peace and connection with the sea. The Sea Cloud II was more than a cruise: it was a little dream come true.

Ein 5-Sterne-Erlebnis!

Diese Kreuzfahrt war ein 5-Sterne-Erlebnis. Bei der Einschiffung wurden wir vom Kreuzfahrtdirektor und anderen Personen begrüßt, die uns eine Karte gaben, die wir für den Kabineneintritt und die Landausflüge benutzen konnten. Die Kabine bot reichlich Stauraum, Selbst unsere billigste Kabine war geräumig mit einem Tisch und zwei Stühlen. Unsere Kabine wurde zweimal am Tag aufgeräumt und gereinigt. Der Crew beim Riggen und Segelsetzen zuzusehen und ohne Motor zu segeln war definitiv ein Highlight der Kreuzfahrt. Auch die Besichtigung der Brücke und des Maschinenraums war sehr interessant. Das Abendessen im Speisesaal war ausgezeichnet und der Service sehr gut. Frühstück und Mittagessen wurden in Buffetform serviert und enthielten immer frisches Obst aus der Region sowie eine Auswahl an Käse, Brot und Crackern. Ich genoss es, dem Pianisten zuzuhören, der jeden Nachmittag und Abend in der Bar des Lido Deck Restaurants Klavier spielte. Alles in allem war alles perfekt.

Servicequalität und Essen auf unterem Kantinen-Niveau

Wir sind in der Vergangenheit bereits mehrfach mit der SCII gefahren und waren immer begeistert. Umso enttäuschter waren wir vom Kulinarischen und dem Serviceniveau dieser Reise. Ungelernte Servicekräfte, schlechter Koch, Essen oft kalt serviert, schlechte Organisation an Bord. Dies bei einem Reisepreis von über 20TEUR für 2 Personen. Nach massiven Beschwerden vieler Gäste erstattete die Reederei 20% des Reisepreises - völlig ungenügend gemessen an dem unterirdischen Niveau. Niemehr wieder!

First experience with this company of sailing cruises. A small vacation that will leave me with unforgettable memories. The sailing ship is small but nice, there are basic services and the staff contributes to creating a very familiar atmosphere. Beautiful cruise!
