Cruise from Hell
Entertainment was good
Food was terrible, Excursions changed from English to Portuguese with only a days notice, no English spoken on board
My 7th and last cruise with MSC was in February 2024, it began with 5 hours of waiting to get onboard the ship in Santos, 4 different queues later I finally got onboard, I found out from a member of crew that it was 99% Brazilian passengers and that English wasn't going to be spoken on board, except for safety announcements, there was about 3 of those. None of this was explained when booking this cruise and it was the first cruise with MSC where multiple languages weren't spoken. My excursions were all booked in English prior to the cruise, but once I got the tickets on the ship the language had been changed to Portuguese as there wasn't any other English speaking guests on board. The food on board was the worst I have ever had, lots of fatty foods, not many vegetables, I was told afterwards by some crew that the guests in south America aren't as picky when it comes to food, compared to Europe so the food lacked a lot of quality. This will be my last cruise with MSC unfortunately.
