Seabourn: early departure for Seabourn Encore


Seabourn Cruise Line has announced that Seabourn Encore will resume service ahead of schedule, starting February 19, 2022, with a series of new 10 and 11-day itineraries to the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean from Lisbon, Portugal, during the winter and the spring of 2022. The ship, which was due to return on April 17, 2022, will become the third ship in Seabourn’s fleet to return to service. 

Destinations for Seabourn Encore include Santa Cruz de La Palma, Puerto de la Estaca, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, San Sebastian de la Gomera, Las Palmas and Arrecife, as well as a call to Funchal, Portugal.

The ship will also sail for a 15-day voyage along the shores of the Mediterranean Sea from Lisbon to Athens, Greece, where it will be positioned for its originally planned deployment in the Eastern Mediterranean in the summer. Destinations include Barcelona, ​​Spain; Valletta, Malta; Syracuse and Crotone, Italy; and Kérkira (Corfu), Sámi, Thira (Santorini) and Naoussa on various islands off the coast of Greece.

For guests who want to enjoy a longer cruise to the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean, Seabourn will offer a combined cruise of 22 or 26 days in March and April, with all the extra-luxury services of Seabourn and a 10% discount. Seabourn’s new voyages to the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean will be open and available for booking starting October 5, 2021.

Additionally, Seabourn and Belinda King Creative Productions will welcome entertainment partner Sir Tim Rice aboard Seabourn Encore ‘s first trip on its return to service who will appear live on stage to share career highlights, tell captivating stories and perform alongside Seabourn’s singers and dancers. In addition, Seabourn and Belinda King Creative Productions will premiere “The Kings,” a brand new contemporary male vocal group exclusive to the brand.

Seabourn ‘s new Canary Islands voyages will offer guests an abundance of activities to undertake and enjoy both on and off the ship. As the official partner of UNESCO World Heritage Cruises, Seabourn Encore will offer guests a wide range of options to discover remarkable sites of culture and natural wonders in select ports, with “World Heritage Tours” visiting World Heritage Sites and “Discovery Tour” with exclusive excursions to shores valued as World Heritage Sites.

There will also be a wide selection of shore excursions at ports of call while traveling, creating opportunities for guests to discover new places and cultures and dive into new experiences. All shore excursions are organized, guided by the best local agents and include a choice of activities of different duration, content and type.

Guests will also have the opportunity to take their journey further with a choice of offerings from the Seabourn Journeys collection. All Seabourn trips are superbly crafted and choreographed with five-star hotel stays and most meals included, and offer guests new memories amidst beautiful places:

  • UNESCO Lisbon, Fatima and Porto (4 days / 3 nights) will be offered before and after the cruise for guests embarking or disembarking in Lisbon. The sites and scenes during the trip include a visit to the religious site of Fatima to observe pilgrims and admire the Chapel of the Apparitions and the Sanctuary, and several UNESCO World Heritage sites in the historic center of Porto.
