The launch of Seabourn Venture and its first itineraries

Entering the most active segment in all of cruising, Seabourn Venture is the first of two ships to add to Seabourn’s fleet of 5 ultra-luxury cruise ships.

Purpose-built to take on some of the most remote and fascinating places on the planet, Seabourn Venture is scheduled to launch in December 2021.  Her yet unnamed sister ship is slated to launch in 2022. Both ships are built to PC6 Polar Class standards and designed with advanced hardware and technology that will allow them to sail virtually anywhere on the world’s oceans.

TWO ITINERARIES WILL WELCOME SEABOURN VENTURE’S FIRST GUESTS.

Scheduled to depart on its inaugural voyage on April 10, 2022, the 12-day inaugural voyage, Wild and Ancient British Iles will sail from Greenwich, England to Leith, the port for Edinburgh, Scotland. Its first port-of-call, Tresco Island, is home to an exceptional sub-tropical plant haven, Abbey Gardens. After a day in Dublin, Ireland UNESCO’s City of Literature, the true adventures begin. Seabourn Venture’s world-class 26-person team of scientists, scholars and naturalists will lead Seabourn Expedition experiences.  The ship’s fleet of 24 Zodiacs and kayaks will be made good use of in each of these remote and stunningly beautiful islands. Even more spectacular may be the underwater explorations observed from the ship’s two on-board submarines.

On April 22, 2022, Seabourn Venture departs from Leith on its second adventure. The 12-day Scottish and Norse Legends Expedition explores the coastal beauty of both Scotland and Norway.  In the North Sea, there’s a stop in Fair Isle, an island inhabited by just 70 people who live in traditional crofts amidst hundreds of sheep and bird life. A visit to Bergen, an UNESCO World Heritage site considered one of the most beautiful cities on earth proceeds one to the Art Nouveau city of Alesund. Zodiacs will be deployed through the majestic Lofoten Islands and in Trollfjord, and the Vega Archipalago and its elder ducks that sustain life here. And Bucket List lovers will notch a visit to Nordkapp, the northernmost end of Europe. The voyage ends in Tromso, Norway.

From Tromso, Seabourn Venture will embark on its previously announced deployment for its first summer season in the Arctic, starting on May 4, 2022.

The ship will set sail in the Arctic, exploring many far-flung destinations in Svalbard, the North Cape and other locations in Norway, as well as Iceland, Greenland, and the Canadian Arctic Archipelago. Guests who can’t get enough of expedition cruising with Seabourn can combine the two new itineraries into a 24-day British Isles & Norse Legend Expedition voyage. For the even more adventurous, combine the two new itineraries with the following 11-day Svalbard Exploration sailing for an epic 35-day expedition voyage.
